Music Australia Research Forum - 12 June
To coincide with the two-year anniversary of the passing of The Creative Australia Act 2023, where Music Australia was born into legislation, Music Australia is holding a special event to launch reports two and three from Listening In, a research series exploring how Australians discover, experience, and engage with music, alongside the unveiling of The Bass Line: An economic analysis of the Australian music industry.
The forum will be split into two sessions: Listening In reports 2 and 3 will be in the morning, while The Bass Line will be in the afternoon. You have the option to attend one, or both sessions. Please register here
The first report was launched last month and you can read it here.
ALMBC On The Road - Townsville
The ALMBC had another very successful gathering at the Commonwealth Hotel, South Townsville, Thursday 5 June.
Attendees ranged from the local bowls club running live music weekly, to the biggest dedicated live music venues and the 5K capacity entertainment centre as well as the region's largest festivals, production companies, promoters, and more, alongside reps from the Qld Music Festival and the national Live Music Office.
Thanks to everyone who came along and shared information about the state of the Townsville live music industry.
We have had an incredible time partnering with QMusic, the Queensland Music Festival and the Live Music Office for a wide-ranging professional development and connection program. Heading to the Townsville Folk Festival today to support one of the nation's oldest running regional festivals.
Meet ALMBC Board Members, staff, Professional Partners, Members and friends.
